Economic Growth Corporation (GROWTH) is a national, mission-driven non-profit dedicated to strengthening underserved communities. Since our inception in 1982, we have focused on revitalizing neighborhoods through housing development, economic development, and strategic partnerships that create long-lasting opportunity.

HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency:
Designated by HUD since 2003, GROWTH provides free, high-quality housing counseling services delivered by HUD-Certified Housing Counselors that help individuals and families achieve housing stability and homeownership. As a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency, our services are set apart from others is that GROWTH and our HUD-Certified housing counselors must complete rigorous training and must pass a national exam to provide housing counseling services. Growth General Contracting LLC:
Specializing in the construction of residential and commercial developments by GROWTH, ranging from historic, adaptive-reuse, single-family new construction, commercial, and most recently completing the new construction of a childcare center.
Home Base Property Management LLC :
Responsible for managing residential and commercial rental properties developed and owned by GROWTH, ensuring high quality, long-term property operations.

Community Based Development:
GROWTH has a long track record of transforming underserved neighborhoods through strategic housing and commercial development. To date, we have:
- Developed 402 units of multifamily rental units
- Built 41 new construction homes
- Created over 40+ commercial units
- Developed 3 business incubators, focused on retail, food, wellness-based entrepreneurs
- Constructed a childcare center
- Assisted 193 homeowners with essential home repairs
HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency:
Designated by HUD since 2003, GROWTH provides free, high-quality housing counseling services delivered by HUD-Certified Housing Counselors that help individuals and families achieve housing stability and homeownership. As a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency, our services are set apart from others is that GROWTH and our HUD-Certified housing counselors must complete rigorous training and must pass a national exam to provide housing counseling services. Our impact includes:
- Serving 3,500+ Illinois households to date
- Assisting 982 individuals become successful homeowners in Illinois
- Delivering foreclosure prevention counseling to more than 1,940 individuals.

Central States Development Partners, Inc.:
- GROWTH's Community Development Entity, Central States deploys New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) to qualified businesses in highly distressed communities nationwide. To date, Central States has:
- Deployed more than $321M has been deployed in federal and state NMTC
- Supported $1.3 billion in total project costs invested in highly distressed, low-income communities
- Help create or retain 17,742 jobs across 15 states
- Provided critical services to over 203,300 low-income individuals
